Kush Open Academy: what we learned from our 2026 cohorts
When we started running structured training programs, we assumed content quality would be the deciding factor in student outcomes. We were wrong — it's accountability structure.
Cohorts with weekly 1-on-1 code reviews complete at nearly twice the rate of those with only group sessions. So this year, every program includes individual mentorship time with a working engineer from our services team, not a dedicated instructor who's stopped shipping.
The second change is portfolio-first curriculum. Instead of exercises that get discarded, every module now contributes to a project a graduate can actually show in an interview. Employers told us clearly: they don't read certificates, they open GitHub links.
Applications for the next cohorts are open — see our Academy page for programs and dates.
